Gerrit Vermeer Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerrit Vermeer (Onoway, Alberta), who passed away on January 20, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marinus Vermeer and Trijntje Vermeer (Boender) of The Netherlands; and his siblings, Pieter Vermeer of Lethbridge and Trijntje. He is survived by: his children, Trudy Vander Veen (John), Pieter Vermeer (Grace), Marvin Vermeer, Gerrit B Vermeer (Karla), Janet Pelzer (Don) and Michele Archutick (Dave); his brother Ben Vermeer; and his wife Mary Holleman. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter as well as many nieces and nephews.
