He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Brand (Dick) and Clarice Brand; his siblings, Joyce Birkett (Ken), Delores Murrell (Ron) and Dennis; his wife Ellen; his children, Joyce Brand (George) of Kamloops, BC, Judy Gray (Jack) of Calgary and John Brand (Rhonda); his grandchildren, Sean Brand of Red Deer, Tanis Phillips (Ash) and Lundy Brand; his great grandchildren, Kaden, Kolten, Jaymison, Keyera and Grayson; and also Dennis Brand (Helen).
