She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Lauritzen and Christine Lauritzen; her husband Ron Smith of Wimborne; her siblings-in-law, J. O., Becky Smith, Robert Smith, Gary Smith, Walter Lee, Jimmy Ross and Bill Bennett; and her nephew Larry Lee.
She is survived by: her children, Cara, Pokey Frere, Garnet, Myrna (Winther), Blair, Bree (Watts), Shane, Michelle (Hoppins), Jason and Bailey (Haeberle); her stepgranddaughter Kimberley Istace (Len); her sisters-in-law, Cleo Ross, Donna Bennett, Kristine Smith and Annette Smith; and also, Ryder and Tucker. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to Covenant Health-St. Mary's, Trochu.
