He was predeceased by: his wife Nellie; his former wife Verna; his parents, Helen and Alexander; his brothers, Gorden and Cecil; his stepchildren, Mary and Donald; and his grandchildren, Morgan Bigelow, Roxanne Bigelow, Pauline and Jarlais.

He is survived by: his children, Robert (Audrey), Hellen (Eugene), Harold (Karen) and Reg; his stepchildren, Walter, Margaret (Allen), John (Susan) and Flora (Rod); and his brother Herb. He is also survived by many sisters and brothers in-law.
