He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley; his parents, John and Henrietta; his brother Craig; his parent-in-law Thomas; and also Myfanwy.
He is survived by: his children, Brett Humphries and Cheri Woodruff (Bruce); his grandchildren, Jonathan Humphries (Jessica), Ashley Humphries, Kimberley Humphries, Nicholas Woodruff, Nathaniel Woodruff and Mairin Woodruff; his stepfather Mervin Clark (Kay); his sisters, Adele Meyers and Mary Murphy; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Tomlinson and Klaas Heerema. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be made in his honour to the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) or the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB).
