He was predeceased by: his parents, Zaccheus Steckler and Eva Steckler; and his siblings, Walter, Hilda Makellky, Cathren Steckler, Freda Ward, Marie Woods and Rose Greene.
He is survived by: his wife Margery Steckler; his brother Carl; his siblings-in-law, Marina Steckler of Moose Jaw, Gordon Fraser (Edra) of High River and Connie Fraser; his close friends, Birgit Due, Maryann, Kevin Kurtz, Nick Kurtz, Kirsten and Dylon Boyer; and his great grandchildren, Korben, McKinley, Ruth, Doug Pearce, Natasha, Mike Bell, Kailyn, Mitchell, Christopher, Colette Pearce, Joshua and Carter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families and many cousins and friends.
