He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Espersen and Erik Espersen; his sister Helen Hansen; his brother-in-law Ken Turnbull; and his father-in-law Ed Zimmerman.

He is survived by: his wife Jackie; his children, Corrine Ferguson (Ken) of Claresholm, AB and Erik Espersen (Karen) of Edgewood, BC; his sisters, Evelyn Turnbull of Calgary, AB and Sorina Maletta (Gene) of Creston, BC; his mother-in-law Ruth Zimmerman; and his sister-in-law Sharon Dunn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
