He was predeceased by: his wife Bernice Charlotte Wendelboe; and his son Leslie Wendelboe. He is survived by: his close friend Don Bennett; his children, Stephen Wendelboe (Carol) and Linda Wendelboe (George); and his grandsons, Thomas, Nathan Wendelboe, Nicholas and Adam Green.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to Legacy Land Trust or the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation.
