Sylvia Doris Robinson
April 16, 1935 – February 1st, 2022
Sylvia D. Robinson nee. Hann winged her way to the Abba Kingdom on February 1st 2022, at her daughter’s home in Okotoks. She was born in Corner Brook, NL on April 16, 1935, to Elwood and Doris Hann. She was predeceased by Elwood Hann (father) and Doris (Fifield) Hann (mother) and sister Rachael (Paul Abbott) and brother George Hann, husbands’ Dallas Rumbolt and Jack Robinson and stepmother Janet Hann. Leaving to celebrate her life, son’s Gary Rumbolt (Maureen), and Gerald Rumbolt (Shirley) and daughter Brenda Lane (Gordon). Also 8 grandchildren: Jacintha Gabriel (Alex Boutette); Jamal Gabriel (Misagh Ziaei); Eileen Kimball (Derek), Louis, Scott (Stephanie), and Jeffrey Rumbolt (Monique); Justin Lane (Anny Chowdry); and Mark Rumbolt. Sylvia will also be missed by her sister Shirley Power (Patrick) and brothers Bruce Hann (Lorraine), Simon Hann (Cathy), and Carol (Barbara), and Sister-in-law Cora Hann.
Sylvia served as a volunteer with the Red Cross in Corner Brook, NL at the age of 14 and for twenty-five years she volunteered at blood clinics, baby clinics, schools, and hospitals. She was a certified first aid instructor and performed volunteer work at carnivals. She was a member of the Status of Women and opened a Chapter at Happy Valley/Goose Bay, Labrador. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi where she helped raise money for local charities and give donations to families in need through the International Loan, Scholarship and Disaster Funds and was involved in many service projects.
Sylvia will be truly missed by her many relatives and friends. She was a dedicated servant of Baha’u’llah, and we will pray for her progress in all the worlds of God.
