He was predeceased by: his mother Mercedez Martinez; and his brother Tito Cano. He is survived by: his wife Delia Cano; his children, Alexander, Veronica (Mike) and Glissel (Tim); his grandchildren, Erick, Amario, Tynnel, Nickolas, Maya and Sofia; his siblings, Andres Cano, David Cano, Teresa Cano and Ana Cano; his mother-in-law Maria Santana Pereza; and his siblings-in-law, Vilma Menjivar, Yesenia Pereza, Sonia Estrada, Judy Gosselin, Aristides Pereza, Freddy Menjivar and Antonio Estrada.
Memorial Donations in Ruben's name may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
