She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie (Reginald Piggott) and England; and her husband Norman Blades. She is survived by: her children, James, Michael (Joan), Paula (Jack) and David (Donna); her grandchildren, Greg (Rachelle), Kristin, Adam (Ashley), Jennifer (Wes), Marcey (Khoa), Randy (Isabelle), Amanda (Dan) and Evan; and her extended family, Margie, Ali and Abdul. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
