Jan Ruim Obituary

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jan Ruim (Okotoks, Alberta), who passed away at the age of 91, on May 6, 2022. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parent Sijke Ruim; his wife Trancy (Tryntje); his parent Reinder Ruim; and his siblings, Jack Ruim, Alice Delwell and Rennie Vandenbos.

He is survived by: his children, Mary Fundytus (John), Randy Ruim (Cathy) and Shirley Ruim; his grandchildren, Nicholas Fundytus (Gillian), Andrew Fundytus (Randi), Julie Wieler (Sheldon), Ben Ruim (Chelsea), Ian Fundytus (Natalie Buckley) and Carly Edwards (Kip); his great grandchildren, Lucas, Brody, Jack, Aaron and Olive; and his sisters, Ymkje Shuurman and Jennie Ruim.

He soaked in the joy that came from many camping trips with the Cubs, or the large family camping adventures with Aunts, Uncles, Cousins as well as exploring Kananaskis with his great grandchildren during Covid.
