Helen Christine Bodnar Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Christine Bodnar (Okotoks, Alberta), who passed away on January 5, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Chester Bodnar; her son Robert; and her siblings, Mary, Andy and Les.

She is survived by: her children, Laureen Barker (Bart) of Surrey, BC and Derril Bodnar (Laura) of Okotoks; her siblings, Carolyn Bodnar (Mike Touchette) of Surrey, BC, Marilyn Bodnar (Ben Oakden) of Calgary, Holly Frere (Toad) of Trochu, Garry Bodnar (Stacy) of St. Albert and Larry Bodnar (Bonnie) of Airdrie; her daughter-in-law Dallas Bodnar; her sibling Butte; her grandchildren, Matthew (Chrissy), Lisa (Jeff), Nick (Shannon), Jenna (Darren), Dani (Aaron), Kyle, Derek, Kelsey and Daniel; her brothers, Cole and Josh; her great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ethan, Blakely, Gracie, Austin, Rhett, Marek, Colby and Sydney; her sisters, Isabelle McCoy (Don) of Milk River and Emma Harsany of Lethbridge; and her brother-in-law Richard Bodnar (Liz) of Olds. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
