He is survived by: his wife Vivian; his children, Donna Wakelam, Darrell Wakelam (Nancy Rauh), Daphne Routly, Keith Wakelam (Tracy), Calvin Wakelam (Lori) and Gary Wakelam (Marnie); his siblings, Marion Evans-Smith, Jean Poznikof and Bob Erskine; his grandchildren, Tammy (Craig), Tracy (Mike), Darcy, Jes, Josh (Fatima), Kaila (Ray), Mac, Tara, Ryan (Jennifer), Julie, Hunter and Evie; his stepdaughters, Darleen Brandt (Murray) and Brenda Townend; and his grandchildren, Charity Chanut (Kevin), Tyler Brandt (Kristie), Riley Brandt, Amber Morgan (Nate), Jaela Lasiuk and Shay Shahid. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.

Vivian's daughters, Darleen Brandt (Murray), Brenda Townend; grandchildren, Charity Chanut (Kevin), Tyler Brandt (Kristie), Riley Brandt, Amber Morgan (Nate), Jaela Lasiuk, Shay Shahid; and 10 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
