He is survived by: his parents, Jack Sutherland of Milo and Marion Sutherland of Calgary; his children, Johnny (John Thomas), Kindra Allan, Paxton Sutherland and Colton Sutherland; his siblings, Joanne Lansdell (John), Donna Tilley, Greg Tilley, Leslie Posein (Dale), Jackie Sutherland and Shandell Laycraft (Greg); his nieces and nephews, Jason Hoard, Joel Wilson, Dorian Wilson, Annalise, Delaney, Deiter, Pascale Posein, Celeste Gerdun, Marina Laycraft and Madison Laycraft; and also Karen Allan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any charity that assists Canadian Veterans or charities promoting children in sports, as these were causes dear to Thomas's heart.
