He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Nielsen (Hicks). He is survived by: his children, Marie Nielsen, Robert Nielsen, Douglas Nielsen, Cheryl Kallenberger (Bud) and Calvin Nielsen; and his sisters, Leona Beamish (Eric), Irene Weber (Ben) and Celia (Bill). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
