He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Bergstreser and Frieda Bergstreser of Acadia Valley; his sister Vivian; his brother-in-law Nick Stark; and his parents-in-law, Cyril and Gene Sample.

He is survived by: his wife Vivian; his children, Debbie Foley (Steve), Jennifer Duncan (Jordon) and Shannon Bergstreser; his grandchildren, Dustin Enslen, Amanda Enslen (Rhys Morgan), Paige Kirkpatrick and Summer Kirkpatrick; his brother Hugo Bergstreser; and his brother-in-law Gary Sample (Margaret). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
