He was predeceased by: his wife Marcia Helliwell; his parents, Robert Helliwell and Olga Helliwell; and his siblings, Robert "Wesley", William "Billy", Virginia, Marilyn and Esther.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Helliwell (Mary), Kate Parker (Sheldon), David Helliwell, Jackie Klein (Alan), James Helliwell (Cheryl Madon), Mitchell Helliwell (Wendy), Mark Helliwell (Linda Smorang), Mercy Smith (Nick) and John Helliwell (Ami Eller); and his grandchildren, Rachel Corrinne Higham, Celestial Sanderson, Isaac Parker, Crystal Musen, Obadiah Vogel, Logan Helliwell, Chase Helliwell, Jesse Craig, Joel Craig, Nicholas Craig, Makayla Helliwell, Levi Helliwell, Gabrial Helliwell, Josh Helliwell, Grace Smorang, Sierra Eller, Dakota Eller and Chyanne Eller. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.
