She was predeceased by: the father of her children Philip Gertner; her brothers-in-law, Paul and Chris; her grandsons, Michael Donaldson and Kelvin Meier; her sons-in-law, Stan Crouch and Lorne Webster; and her parents, Margaretha Buettner and Joseph Buettner.

She is survived by: her children, Gloria Gertner, Peggy Crouch, Gladys Bohnet, Phyllis Berube (Marcel), Harold (Tana), Marilyn Donaldson (Eric Stills), Dale Gertner (Tammy) and Doug Gertner (Shannon); and her grandchildren, April Albrecht, Teresa Hansen, Shawn Bohnet, Logan Gertner, Dallas Dutchik, Monty Gertner, Amber Bennett, Tim Donaldson, Adam Gertner, Jordan Gertner, Justin Gertner and Layne Gertner. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Health issues continued with Alzheimer's setting in and she had been living in various care homes.
