It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Fraser Schmidt of Medicine Hat, Alberta, who passed away on October 3, 2024, at the age of 17, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid adieu to Matthew's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Matthew has bequeathed us. He is survived by: his parents, Karen Stiles (Mark) and Bradley Schmidt (Teresa) of Medicine Hat; and his siblings, Grant Schmidt, William Schmidt, Charlie Nicole Schmidt, Haley Gyug and Kylie Gyug.
