It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence Hankins (Medicine Hat, Alberta), born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, who passed away on June 5, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Hankins and Lawrence Hankins; his sister Anne Marie Pielak; his grandparents, Grace and Francis Goller; and his parents-in-law, Doreen and Bill Wray.

He is survived by: his wife Penny Hankins of Medicine Hat; his children, Christina Bunting (Michael) and Benjamin Hankins (Jill); his grandchildren, Mackenzie Hankins, Kian Hankins and William Bunting; his sisters, Stella Arndt (Ralph) and Faith Schattle (Neil); and his close friend John Kahl. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
