He is survived by: his daughter Madeleine (Adriaan); his grandchildren, Phoebe Kriel (Yianni), Adriaan Kriel (Puruvi) and Wessel Van Rensburg; and his sisters, Sophie and Chrissie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hillcrest Evangelical Missionary Church (3785 13 Ave SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1B1J2).
