He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Gilliland and Irene Gilliland (Birch); and his sister Marjorie Ewen. He is survived by: his children, David (Sydney), Robert (Marianne) and Marnie (Andrew Bevan); his grandchildren, Adina (Frank), Tyrus (Tonya), Sharla (Kyle), Eric (Stacey), Nicole, Alexandra (Benjamin) and Rhys; his great grandchildren, Quinn, Ari, Tristan, Townes, Arlen, Callum, Sawyer, Paxton and Wren; and his nephews, Richard (Linda) and Douglas (Vanessa).
