It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Gilliland (Medicine Hat, Alberta), born in Stoughton, Saskatchewan, who passed away on November 11, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Gilliland and Irene Gilliland (Birch); and his sister Marjorie Ewen. He is survived by: his children, David (Sydney), Robert (Marianne) and Marnie (Andrew Bevan); his grandchildren, Adina (Frank), Tyrus (Tonya), Sharla (Kyle), Eric (Stacey), Nicole, Alexandra (Benjamin) and Rhys; his great grandchildren, Quinn, Ari, Tristan, Townes, Arlen, Callum, Sawyer, Paxton and Wren; and his nephews, Richard (Linda) and Douglas (Vanessa).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Cook Southland Funeral Chapel (901 13 St SW, Medicine Hat, AB T1A4V4).
