He was predeceased by: his mother Eleanor Rea. He is survived by: his father Frank Vaness; his children, Ira Vaness, Amanda Kaye, Leslie Kaye, Tammy Kaye, Tina Smoker and Rhonda Lee; his grandchildren, Jacob Vaness, Izaya Vaness, Ariah Vaness and Mataya Curtis; his brother Kevin Rea; and his nephews, Teagan Rea and Keenan Rea.
A memorial service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Saamis Memorial (1 Dunmore Rd SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A1Z5).
The family kindly requests donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB T2E 2P5.
