She was predeceased by: her husband Fred Mertin; her parents, Phillip Specht and Annie Specht; and her parents-in-law, Fred and Hertha Mertin.

She is survived by: her son Duane Mertin (Deb) of Bowden, AB; her grandchild Teneille Mertin (Tyler Trew); her great grandchildren, Davis, Julia and Reid; her children, Ezra and Linora MacEwen (Wes) of St. Peter's Bay, P. E. I.; her grandson Chance Stimson (Nadine); her great grandchildren, Hunter and Ryder; her granddaughter April Stimson (Tommy Townsend); her great grandchildren, Scarlett and Cooper; her stepgrandchildren, Greg, Rae Anne and Jason Stimson; her son Dean Mertin (Jackie) of Leader, SK.; her granddaughter Vanessa Beebe (Les); her great grandchildren, Leo and Norah; her grandchildren, Dallas Mertin, Chloe Mertin (Matthew Nickel) and Dawson Mertin; her son Darren Mertin (Della) of Leader, SK.; her grandchildren, Jenna Merin (Dylan Erfle) and Skye Stimson (Chris); her great grandchildren, Lennon, Lakely and Cole Mertin; her brothers, Dan Specht (Donna) and Allan Specht (Kathy); and her sisters-in-law, Adeline Miller, Violet Bauder and Linda Schlaht. She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
