Helena Smith Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helena Smith in Medicine Hat, Alberta, born in Lampman, Saskatchewan, who passed away on October 29, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Olga Braun and Albert Braun. She is survived by: her children, Darcy Smith (Theresa), Cheryl Miller (Allan), Colleen Volkman (Daryl), Lyndel Grassmick (Joel), Kendra Smith (Mike Morton) and Denise Smith; her grandchildren, Christon Kennedy (Marlowe), Shaun Lundy (Morgan), Michele O'Reilly (Joel Gwillim), Michael Volkman (Ronilynn), Matthew Volkman (Nicole), Jennifer Fortier (Adrian), Justin Grassmick (Dareth), Joel Jr. Grassmick, Maegan Smith (Michal Filipe) and Madison Partridge; her great grandchildren, Baelan, Anya O'Reilly, Emerson, Makenna, Bennett Volkman, Oaklynn, Beklee, Houston Volkman, Cadence, Hayden, Allegra Foss, Adler and Atlas Grassmick; and her siblings, Erma Schroeder (Gerry) and Leonard Braun. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; a large extended family; and many close and dear friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mission Springs Church of God (3705 Mission Springs Dr, Kelowna, BC V1W3L8).
