He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Tisnic and Lillian Tisnic; his son Travis Tisnic; and his brother-in-law Jim Piper. He is survived by: his daughter Tracy Balaneski; his son-in-law Kevin Balaneski; his grandchildren, Kylee Balaneski, Kiara Balaneski, Karissa Balaneski and Kolton Balaneski; his siblings, Gloria George (Don), Geraldine Piper and Kelvin Tisnic (Linda); and his nieces and nephews, Deanna Bleackley (Al), Jason George (Shauna), Jaimie Piper, Kiel Piper (Dez), Trent Tisnic (Nicole), Derek Tisnic (Breanna Helgeson) and Nicole Tisnic (TJ Stabner).
