It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frank Kasper Guckert of Medicine Hat, Alberta, who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor Guckert; his parents, John Guckert and Martha Guckert; and his brothers, Leo, Anton and Peter Guckert.
He is survived by: his children, Lyle Guckert (Lorraine) of Oyen, Lorie Lerner (Tim) of Medicine Hat and Lana Gunther (Corey) of Calgary; his great grandchildren, Mark Guckert (Beth Norris), Kristal Dubois (Jason Allemann), Nolan (Kaylee), Lerner (Leighton), Chantel (Jamie), Goldring (Freya), Olivia Gunther and Natalya Gunther; his siblings, Mike Guckert, Albert Steinbach (Doreen) and Josie Fitterer; and his sister-in-law Marlene Parfenuik. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A vigil service will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Pattison Funeral Home (540 S Railway St, Medicine Hat, AB T1A2V6). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Rd SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1B4V3).
