He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Herman and Irene Herman; his brother Bernie; his parents-in-law, Bill and Vivian Wyatt; his uncle Edwin Herrmann; his aunt Vera Herrmann; his siblings-in-law, Antonia Herman, Don Vair and Ted Wyatt; and his extended family Larry Martin.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Herman; his sons, Dennis "Ross" Herman and Ryan Herman (Ariana); his grandchildren, Sheridyn and Zach; his son Todd Herman (Valerie); his grandchildren, Molly, Sophie and Charlie; his daughter Kerri Stait (Bill); his grandchildren, Brooke and Will; his siblings, Tom Herman, Jim Herman (Renee), Nolan Herman (Betty Morin), Bonnie Hartung, Dixie Vair and Lois Beck (Randy); his cousin Donna Martin; and his brother-in-law Don Wyatt (Diane). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
