He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna and Jacob. He is survived by: his former wife Verda Koch; his great grandchild Inari; his brother Harry; his brother-in-law Mike Matoga; his siblings, Mary Zesko (John), Stella Matoga, Joseph Ewach (Diane), William Ewach and Andrew Ewach (Sylvia); and his stepdaughters, Janice Nemecz (Leo), Brenda McRae (Matt), Lois Ancion (Dave) and Sharon Wesgate. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
