He was predeceased by: his parents, William Benson and Hulda Benson of Lomond; his wife Betty Ione Benson; and his son Douglas Benson. He is survived by: his child Dean Benson of Battle Ground; and his grandchildren, Garrett Benson of Vancouver and Danica Benson (Shamus O'Leary) of Seattle.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:30 PM at 1005 NE 17th Ave, Hillsboro, OR 97124.
