He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Kykkanen and Eileen Kykkanen; and his siblings, Ted Kykkanen, Bobby Kykkanen, Ronald Kykkanen and Annie Kykkanen.

He is survived by: his siblings, Betty Burton (Terry), Cindy Nasby (Steven), Wayne Kykkanen (Lisa) and Barry Kykkanen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
