He was predeceased by: his parents, Nils Benson and Alice Benson; and his brothers, Frank and Jimmy. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his son Darryl (Nancy); his grandchildren, Brendan (Jenna) and Meagan (Tyler); his daughter Shelley (Dick); and his sisters, Beverley, June, Christine, Nina and Connie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
