He was predeceased by: his parents, Knute Larson and Florence Larson; and his siblings, Williard, Floyd, Gordon, Ken, Louisa Parke and Marion Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Heather; his granddaughters, Nicole and Chelsea of Nanaimo, BC.; and his sister Gloria (Alberta) of Red Deer. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
