She was predeceased by: her husband Phil Freeston; her daughter Judy Huber (Denis); her parents, Clifford Nichol and Grace Nichol; her sisters, Noreen Nichol and Lois Kosteriva; and her brother-in-law Jack Freeston (Catherine).

She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Carruthers (Ian); her grandchildren, Tracy Mills (Kevin), Kristie Twidale (Derek) and Ryan Carruthers (Sara); her son Morris Freeston (Melanie); her grandchildren, Lanelle Freeston and Chandra Fischer (Bryan); her great grandchildren, Judy Huber (Denis), Launa Tenney (Rob), Rayanne Noble (Warren), Rayah Fischer, Brinley Fischer, Ben Mills, Owen Twidale, Zane Twidale, Aidan Carruthers, Keegan Tenney, Keshia Whiteman, Kade Tenney, Sydney Noble and Eric Noble; her great great grandchild Calem Whiteman; her siblings, Linda Hope and Lloyd Nichol; and her brother-in-law Pete Kosteriva. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
