He was predeceased by: his father John George Opissinow; his sister Beverly Carter; his nephews, Devin Belly and Brendan Lee Carter; and his grandparents, Albert Waskewitch, Charlie Chief, Ernest Dillon Jr., Mary Anne Chief, Caroline Opissinow and Lena Carter.
He is survived by: his mother Florence Opissinow; his sons, Robbie, Larry, Jon-Luc and Jonah; his grandchildren, Alistier, Aayla and Lilly; and his sisters, Marilyn, Vivian (Donald), Cindy, Arlene, Denise and Vanessa (Rodney). He is also survived by four sons and three grandchildren.
