He was predeceased by: his son Rick Andersen; his parents, Helmer Andersen and Esther Andersen; his parents-in-law, Art and Bena Nelson; his son-in-law Troy Brotherwood; his great grandchild Baby J; and his brother-in-law Ted Conlon.

He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Andersen; his children, Ted Andersen (Judy Born) and Sherry Willett (Greg); his daughter-in-law Elaine Andersen; his daughters, Donna Hadwen (Bruce Lebel) and Debra Maas (Tim); his grandchildren, Jayson Sturrock (Crystal), Stephen Willett (Shelby), Nathan Willett, Christy Lawrence (Nathan), Curtis Andersen (Jordyn), Travis Andersen, Emma Hadwen, Eric Hadwen and Emily Freeman; his great grandchildren, Kalib and Cali Jo; and his sisters, Helen Conlon and Jeanette Jackson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
