He was predeceased by: his father Stanley Nichol; and his grandson Ledger. He is survived by: his mother Jenny Nichol; his siblings, Jason Nichol, Jarrod Nichol, Justin Nichol and Debra Seier (Ben); his sons, Morgan Nichol (Tshanna) and Connor Nichol (Katelyn); and his grandchildren, Chareltonne, Lochin, Evigale, Lawson, Lucas and Nora. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM and at 2:00 PM at the Turtle Lake Mission Church.

Donations in memory of James may be made to donor's charity of choice.
