With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Garry DeBusschere (Lloydminster, Alberta), who passed away on November 6, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Camiel DeBusschere and Jennie DeBusschere; his siblings, Leon, Olive Jackson (Bill), Edith Keller (Julius), Bert (Mary) and Glen; and his siblings-in-law, Jack Manarey, Calvin Humphrey and Lula.

He is survived by : his wife Mary DeBusschere; his children, Michelle (Frans Nederveen), Heather Yuzik (Shawn) and Ian (Nikki Johnson); his grandchildren, Rhielind Yuzik (JC Funez-Raudales) and Julie Yuzik; his siblings, Ken DeBusschere (Eleanor), Louise Manarey, Gladys Raven (Peter) and Jean Humphrey; and his sister-in-law Marilyn DeBusschere. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Donations in memory of Garry may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Gerry was trained in the oil patch by Garry & he said Garry was the best trainer ever, & Gerry himself then trained others with the techniques Garry used on him because he said they were useful & helped understand his job tremendously. Garry was a gentle old soul with a wonderful personality & spirit. What can one say at a time of such tremendous loss?”
