He is survived by: his wife Carol Abel; his sons, Scott Abel (Annie Frechette) and Tim Abel (Nastasja); his grandsons, Brandon Abel, Tyler Abel and Erik Abel; his brother Jim Abel (Marie); his niece Jocelyn Abel; and his nephew Shawn Abel.
