It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Swanky (Lloydminster, Alberta), who passed away on July 31, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carol Swanky to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Rod Swanky; her parents, Len Hjelmeland and Lucy Hjelmeland; her siblings, Stan Hjelmeland, Vern Hjelmeland, Harold Hjelmeland, Bob Hjelmeland and Fran Wills; and her sister-in-law Linda.

She is survived by: her children, Wanda O'Brien (Mike), Rod Swanky (Heather) and Ed Swanky (Melissa); her sister-in-law Shirley Hjelmeland; and her grandchildren, Corey, Coltin, Madison, Maclayne, Caydnce and Donovan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory of Carol may be made to the Diabetes Canada or Heart & Stroke Foundation.
