He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Penner and Mary Penner; and his brother David Penner. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Neufeld; his children, Abram (Lisa Schmitt), Susana Penner, Frank (Margaret Penner), Mary (John Friesen), Sara (Cornelius Thiessen), Eva (David Peters), Judy (Cornelius Niekoley), George (Margaret Penner) and John (Helena Penner); and his siblings, Franz Penner, Adam Penner, Philip Penner, Jacob Penner, Heinrich Penner, John Penner, Peter Penner, Mary Klassen, Tina Schalamp, Lena Reimer, Margaret Schmitt, Justina Petkau, Agatha Petkua and Anna Guenther. He is also survived by nine children, thirty-one grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
