She was predeceased by: her parents, Fedor Tyznenko and Anna Tyznenko; her husband John Shaskin; and her brothers-in-law, Stephen Shaskin, Walter Shaskin, Terry McIntosh and Henry Herasemluk.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth, Ken (Tina) and Mark (Lori); her grandchildren, John (Jana), Dustin (Caroline), Thomas (Julie), Bradley and Jennifer; her sisters, Dusi, Luba and Linda (Dale); and her great grandchildren, Rowan, Nathan, Channing, Marshall and Maren.
