Troy Daniel Morrow Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Troy Daniel Morrow, age 54, on December 31, 2024, in his home. Troy was born on September 11, 1970, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to William G. Morrow and Linda J. McKinstry.
Troy is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Morrow, whom he shared 12 wonderful years with. He leaves behind his sons Tyrel Morrow (Aryssa) and their children Harper and Paxtyn of Medicine Hat, Tanner Morrow (Emily) of Calgary, and Conner Morrow (Deanna) of Calgary. Troy was also the proud stepfather to Stephanie Parsonage and grandson Carter of Lethbridge, Charlene (AJ) Vanderwilk of Coaldale, and Chelsea (Jordan) Halladay and their children Alexis, Piper and Wyatt of Sparwood.
Troy is also survived by his parents, William Morrow of British Columbia and Linda McKinstry of Alberta, as well as his four sisters: Tonya Sherman, Kendell Killian (Travis), Jan Schmidt (Doyle), and Tara Lukens (Glenn), along with many nieces, nephews, mother-in-law Frances, sister in laws Diana and Anne. He was predeceased by his first son, Lee E. Morrow, granddaughter Remingtyn, and brother-in-law Greg Sherman.
Troy was known for being a hard worker with a wide range of skills. A gifted cook, Troy was the heart and soul of many family gatherings, where his meals were the highlight of the celebrations. His generosity in the kitchen was matched only by the love and laughter that filled the rooms whenever he was around.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Troy had a love for camping, hunting, and spending time in nature. Above all, Troy cherished the moments spent with his loved ones, socializing, sharing stories, and making lasting memories.
Troy was a friend to many and will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering loyalty. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Troy's life will be held at his home July 1st, 2025. The graveside will be with just family at the Barnwell Cemetery, details will be shared in the coming weeks.
