She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Shannon and Maida Shannon; and her brother Jim Shannon (Pat). She is survived by: her children, Taylor Pierce (Leah) and Kendra Pierce (Philip Smith); her brother Rick Shannon (Lucie); and her grandsons, Vincent and Robert Pierce. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of Sharon's enduring legacy of compassion and kindness.
