He is survived by: his wife Lisa Abernathy; his children, Oliver, Tillie and Felix; his parents, Jenny Abernathy and Kerry Abernathy of Colorado Springs, Colorado.; his siblings, Joshua Abernathy, Rachel Brown (Charles), Christopher'Toast' Abernathy (Marcy), Rebecca Smith (Isaac) and Caleb Abernathy (Amy); his grandparents, Barbara Layman and Jack Abernathy; his parents-in-law, Lucille Aitkens and Ron Aitkens; and his siblings-in-law, Kenny Aitkens (Erin), Steven Aitkens (Danielle), Aimee Aitkens and Ethan Lannon.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Evangelical Free Church of Lethbridge (4717 24 Ave S, Lethbridge, AB T1K7C1).
