He was predeceased by: his parents, John McCune and Blanche McCune; and his siblings, Edward (Bernice), Gordon (Edna), Norman, Kenneth, Dorothy (Art), Margaret (Lionel), Edna (Chuck), Sadie (Vic) and Florence (William).

He is survived by: his children, Pat McCune (Fae), Kathy McCune (Tobi), Karen MacKay (Russ) and Nancy McCune (Dave); his grandchildren, Carly (Beau), Todd, Ben and Taylor; his great grandchildren, Rex and Blake; and his siblings, Myrtle Smith, Elsie Collins (John), Roy McCune (Angie) and Gladys Grant (Don). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
