He was predeceased by: his parents, Nuala Clark and Arnold Butler. He is survived by: his wife Patty Butler; his children, Kayleigh Paddock (Spencer Paddock) and Joel Butler (Bridget Mulligan); his granddaughter Elsie Del-Rose Paddock; his siblings, Elizabeth Leake (Allan Leake), Liam Butler (Lauren) and Bryan Butler (Katherine); and his stepmother Helen Butler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to King of Kings Fellowship - India.

“I knew Bob from our single years in Toronto and Stone Church college and careers. We played hockey together with ‘Stoners’ at various rinks around town. My most memorable trip was to my cousins wedding with Bob in Ottawa where he was to play and sing at the reception. Along the way Bob got the munchies and decided we had time to stop for a bite to eat along the way. Now being late, we pulled over on the shoulder to change arriving just as the ceremony ended. He did sing. Garry”
