He was predeceased by: his sister Lorraine Hinatsu-Todd; and his parents, Roy Hinatsu and Janet Hinatsu. He is survived by: his brother Jim (Maureen); his nieces, Emily and Amanda; his nephew Daniel; his brother-in-law Dr. Bruce Todd; his nephews, Alexander (Erika) and Nicholas (Sarah); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jordan, Evelyn (Nicholas) and Jack. He is also survived by his brother and friends.
A prayer was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Buddhist Temple of Southern Albe (470 40 St S, Lethbridge, AB T1J3Z5). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM and on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
