It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Minoru Shigehiro (Lethbridge, Alberta), born in Vancouver, British Columbia, who passed away on October 28, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Saburo Shigehiro and Shizuko Shigehiro; and his sister-in-law Mieko Oshima. He is survived by: his wife Eiko; his children, Irene Hager (Pat), Ruby Brett (Brian), Michael Shigehiro (Mary), Sally Allan (Gord) and Susan Goodman (Chris); his grandchildren, Michelle Rhodes (Zach), Nicholas Hager, Steven Brett (Noirin), Jenna Brett, Cole Shigehiro, Sean Allan and Brody Allan; his great grandchild Evan Rhodes; his brothers, Tom Shigehiro (Mitsuko) and Joe Shigehiro (Mary); and his siblings-in-law, Masatoshi Wakimoto (Sadako) and Mitsuko Kaneko. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
